I am a trainee therapist currently studying for my postgraduate Clinical Diploma in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute.
Prior to training in psychotherapy I worked for the NHS for 8 years as doctor in medicine and psychiatry. This has provided me with an intimate knowledge of the intricacies and challenges of accessing support for mental health issues in the UK.
A core belief underlying my person-centred practice is that each individual has within themselves the inner resources and to grow, change and to live a fulfilling life. The ability to use these resources can be impacted by a person’s environment and life experiences.
My intention is to offer an empathetic, non-judgemental space in which you can explore your feelings, beliefs, behaviours, relationships and unique worldview. I believe that you are the person who knows yourself best and will accompany you in gaining a deeper understanding your experiences. I hope that through this therapeutic process you may come to feel greater acceptance of yourself.
