I have been working with individuals, couples and with groups for 25 years.
At the heart of the approach to the work I do, is my belief that who we are and how we experience the world is informed by our history.
I see all the work I do, whether with individuals or groups, rooted in the understanding that the internal and the external are connected. For me this means that our family, community, the social/society, the psychological and the spiritual/natural world, combine to contribute to how we develop in the world.
Much of the work I do with people involves issues with relating to others; in couple relationships, friendship groups, family and work related dynamics. People come to therapy to explore feelings they are struggling and want to explore such as depression, anxiety and stress, confidence, self esteem, loss of meaning and purpose and bereavement. I also work with sexual abuse issues and childhood trauma. Other areas of interest are working with Identity issues, such as those around Race, Religion, Disability, Class, Sex and Gender, and Sexual Identity.
I work in person primarily, with telephone or online sessions, as necessary.
I work in English.
