I am training in Gestalt Psychotherapy at The Metanoia Institute in London, where I am a trainee member of the UKCP. I work at Brighton Therapy Centre and at a local LGBTQ+ mental health charity.
- My experience includes working therapeutically with:
- Understanding identity
- Relationships
- Family dynamics
- Feelings of ‘stuckness’
- Anxiety and stress
- Feelings of depression
- Neurodivergence
- Traumatic experiences
- Experiences of oppression
In your first session, we can discuss what brings you to therapy and start to explore what type of work you would like to do together. My therapeutic style is relational and sensitive, and I work towards building safe enough conditions to help develop self-awareness, which can lead to change in and out of therapy.
We might look at how past or present-day experiences, or chronic conditions, are affecting your day-to-day functioning and gain an understanding of what might be restricting you from living as you would like to. Some of these aspects might be very personal, and some might be more systemic, and we can explore these complexities together. I am committed to an anti-oppressive practice, and I offer LGBTQ+ affirming and Neurodiversity affirming counselling.
My background includes varied professional experience in the creative arts, music, and mental health, and I encourage creativity in the sessions if that is something you are drawn to. I can offer face to face or online sessions.
