I am a trainee counsellor studying my MSc in Therapeutic Counselling at the University of Greenwich. I previously studied Law and an MSc in Experimental Psychology at the University of Sussex, solidifying Brighton as my home base and supporting my career journey towards working with people on a deeper level.
I have over five years of work experience as a Mental Health and Autism/ADHD Mentor for disabled university students, and have been a Listening Volunteer with Samaritans for over six years.
With lived experience of neurodivergence, I understand the importance of creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming space for all clients to explore and express themselves without fear of judgment.
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a variety of theories and techniques, and I am particularly interested in exploring together how your past experiences and relationships might be impacting your present. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a key tool in developing a greater understanding of ourselves and bringing about positive change, so I prioritise building and nurturing my relationships with clients.
My experience includes, but is not limited to, working with the following:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Suicidal feelings
- Neurodivergence (particularly autism and ADHD)
- Disability
- Stress and burnout
I am a student member of the BACP.
