Epiphany Leone

Psychodynamic Therapist

I am a final year psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy student, working as a trainee therapist at BTC. I work with clients on a weekly basis providing short or long-term psychodynamic therapy. Through talking and listening in a supportive, confidential, and safe space I support clients in feeling more deeply and understanding more deeply.

I work to elaborate the patterns that are present in the life of a client, exploring how these may be influencing their current circumstances, to then effect change in their life.

Working psychodynamically, I’m interested in upstanding four timeframes in a client’s life; their childhood and early years experiences, lived life from their early years to the present day, their current lived life (what is happening between our sessions), and their experiences in the room during the sessions.

I have worked with a broad range of clients exploring topics such as (but not limited to):

  • Sexuality
  • Gender
  • Race
  • Relationships and sex
  • Attachment
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Neglect
  • Family dysfunction
  • Grief
  • Bereavement
  • Financial hardship

I offer low cost sessions in person or online.

I have a background in clinical psychology and spent many years working with clients in forensic psychiatric care settings. Beyond my work at BTC I work with one of the UK’s leading charities, supporting the development of their corporate strategy for employee wellbeing in the workplace.
