Simon Brooksbank

Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapist

I have always been deeply fascinated by exploring and understanding what shapes us and what makes us ‘tick’- but also what prevents us from reaching our full potential.

I give my clients lots of space to speak where they feel safe to bring their full selves.  But I also work collaboratively by asking probing questions to help them explore and understand on a deeper level why they have come into therapy and what they hope to achieve through our work together.

My training has been very broad, encompassing different approaches such as visualisations, creative imagination, chair work and sand tray work.  When I understand my clients better after a few sessions, I seek to introduce different approaches to help them understand and explore different parts of themselves.

My professional background is as a Town Planner.  Brighton is now my home where I enjoy the energy and vibrancy of the city, but also the outdoor space that this part of the world offers.  I have lived, travelled and studied abroad which has given me a broader perspective on life.

I completed my four year psychotherapy diploma in November 2024  at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) and am working towards qualification and accreditation with UKCP as a trainee psychotherapist.
